Congratulations to all of the DHTR finishers!
You all did an amazing job. We would like to thank our race director Chris Casey. He did an amazing job organizing and putting this race on this year and every year!
Nat Zilske is a pro timing these awesome trail runners!
And we cannot forget the wonderful nurses that were standing by in case anyone needed them, Lindsay Roper and Alicia Zilske. We also had some very helpful energetic volunteers Scott &

Drummer Hill 2020 Trail Race News

I’m sure it is coming as no surprise that Drummer Hill Trail Race will need to be canceled this year. There just doesn’t seem to be a safe and reasonable way to proceed with the race.
We have also chosen not to postpone the race to a later date out of respect for other races that would traditionally happen at those times, as I assume many of you are registered for other events throughout the year. The race will take place again in 2021, around the same mid June date as we normally have done.
As you know from race registration checkout, there are no refunds or deferrals. However, this situation is above and beyond what I could have ever imagined and I know money can be tight for some right now, therefore, refunds can be issued, minus a dollar or two to cover the processing charge of the refund and minus the processing charge of Ultrasignup.
No one, including myself, profits from the money raised. The race has always been a way for Scores Running Club to raise scholarship money for our local high school athletes from Keene, Monadnock, and Hinsdale. With the absence of the race comes a drop in our means to provide those scholarships. In light of this, if you would like to donate your race entry to help maintain the Scores Running Club scholarship fund, please check your email for the message from ultrasignup.com
There will be a two week window in which to reply. Please respond with your decision of DONATION or REFUND by no later than May 18th, 2020. If you do not respond by May 18th, 2020 we will assume your registration fee is a donation to The Scores Running Club Youth Scholarship fund. If requested, the refund process will start after the 18th.

Thank you for your understanding and we hope to see you happy and healthy out on the hill next year!

Chris Casey RD

Join us on Saturday, June 13th, for the Drummer Hill Trail Races!

The race will be run on a NEW 12.5 kilometer loop. We have added some great new single track and kept some of the old favorites to lengthen each lap slightly (from the previous years 10k lap distance) and make if fewer laps to hit that 50K mark. In the spirit of choosing your own adventure, runners may choose the number of 12.5k laps they would like to complete. If you are new to trail running and just want to check out the Keene scenery, a single loop is a great option. If you want more of a challenge, try your hand at a few more. If you’re like me and the thought of calling it a day after a few laps is just unthinkable, run the full 4 laps for a 50k day out on the hill! No runner will be penalized for not completing the number of laps they sign up for and if you want to run more than you signed up for, well, good for you! We’ll record your finish accordingly!

Awards: Male and Female awards for first place in each distance category… And most likely a raffle, too.

All race distances will start EXACTLY at 8am. Participants have until 5pm to complete their chosen distance... or maybe longer. I'm pretty reasonable.

Parking will be at Fuller Elementary School, 422 Elm St, Keene, NH 03431 and the race start is just a short walk away on Drummer Rd. Please, no parking on Drummer Rd as we would like to keep all the neighbors on the street happy!

For those who would like, drop bags for all your gear may be brought to the start/finish area to access between laps. Port-a-potties will also be available at the start/finish area as well.

Aid will be available at the start/finish area, as well as at a midpoint in the race course. Offerings will include, water, Tailwind, soda, gels, cookies, bananas, chips, candy…. You know, just imagine the spread at a 3rd grade Halloween party! Oh yeah... Frank will be making his pulled pork again! And as always, if you want to bring something to share, go for it!

Registration is open on Ultrasignup.com! Cost is $50

It's the woods... rocks, roots, WILDLIFE, and alL .

Course Description:  The terrain of Drummer Hill can vary from technical single track to old jeep roads. And seeing that the term “hill” is in the race name, you can expect that there will be a fair amount of elevation change. I can’t express enough that this is a trail race on technical terrain. This is not paved. This is not renovated rail trail. This is not for whiners. This is the woods, where there are a lot of rocks, roots, fallen trees, stream crossings, scenic beauty, and if you’re lucky, some nice wildlife sightings.
